NEVERMORE – This Godless Endeavor

Nevermore dolaze iz Seattle-a, ili kako neki kažu grunge grada. Pošto je Seattle i sam poznat po Nirvani, Pearl Jamu i L7, Nevermore je totalni preokret, i osvježenje kako neki kažu na thrash metal sceni. Za njih sam čuo kada čitao jedan od prvih brojeva United Forcesa, još kada im je izašao ''Dead Heart In A Dead World'' 2000.godine. Nakon tog albuma izašlo ih je još, ali meni se nekako najviše svidio ''Enemies Of Reality'' iz 2003. i to mi je i dalje najbolji album, dok ovaj nije izašao. Album je sličan jako Enemiesu, ali ima dijelova koji ga čine boljim. Ovog puta su dosta i korstili, kako se kaže, švedski riff, te svojoj muzici dodali još nešto novo, tako da je i to jedan od razloga zašto trebate poslušat ovaj bend. Vokal je i dalje clean, kamo tek toliko vokal malo zavrišti ili koristi grublji vokal, ali sve u svemu, o ovome se nema šta puno pisat, ovo trebate imat, svi vi koji slušate melodičnu muziku, a da nije iz švedske ili krajeva kamo takva muzika dominira. Ovo je jedan od rjetkih američkih dobrih metal bendova.

MARDUK – Warschau

Kada sam počeo slušat black metal, Marduk je bio sigurno među prvih 5 bendova koje sam tada čuo što se tiče te muzike. I tada je bio u bend još došao bubnjar srpskog podrijetla Emil Dragutinović u bend, inače Marduk je bend iz Švedske za one koji neznaju. Od početaka Marduk je promijenio par puta line-up, a od osnivača ostao je samo gitarista. Čak i vokal, Legion, koji je jedan od osnivača, od nedavno više ne pjeva u Marduku. Marduk je uz Bathory sigurno jedan od prvih bendova koji su počeli u švedskoj sa takvom muzikom, da bi kasnije to započeli Dark Funeral, Naglfar i još mnogi bendovi s tih prostora. Ipak što se tiče black metala, ja oduvijek preferiram norvešku scenu, jer njihov zvuk je po meni originalan zvuk black metala. I na tom putu je i Marduk sve ove godine. Jeste da su im albumi dosta slični, beskompromisni bez zrna ikakve melodike. Tu i tamo čut čete sporije dijelove, ali njihov zaštitni znak je ipak blast beat bubanj i vokal koji para uši. Warschau nije novi album, ovo je live, i ovdje imaju super odabir pjesama, od samih početaka, pa do zadnjih albuma. Marduk ipak preferiram starije albume jer su tada imali ideja, a kasnije su samo koristili istu formulu zapakiranu u nove tekstove. Warschau je odličan live, svaki instrument dolazi do izražaja i za one koji nisu nikada slušali ovaj bend, neka nabave ovaj cd jer ovo je presjek njihove karijere i ako im se ovo ne svidi, onda nema ni smisla nabavljat sve te silne albume koje su oni izdali. Marduk je pokazao kako melodika i ne treba za dobar black metal, bitan je bijes u muzici koji pokazuje njihov bubanj, a i vokal također.

IN FLAMES – Come Clarity

Jeste da se moramo pomiriti s time da oni više nikada neče napraviti album kao ''The Jester Race'', ipak je In Flames sa onim ''novijim'' zvukom, a i akbumima stvorio veliku bazu fanova diljem svijeta. Pomogla im je i turneja sa Slipknotom što je i najviše utjecalo na to da oni malo poboljšaju svoj zvuk. Iskreno, meni oni nisu ništa dobro napravili nakon albuma ''Colony'', tj.nakon 2000. godine. Ovaj album mi se je čak i svidio. Ima dosta melodičnih dijelova, a isto tako onog poznatog nam švedskog metala. Album također ima i clean vokale, većinom u refrenima, a tu je i ženski vokal, kao gost u pjesmi ''Dead End''. Album je odličan, mogu reć, i nemam favorite među pjesmama, jer ima ih puno, možda prva, ''Take This Life'', ali ipak, kao što sam rekao, ima puno dobroga. In Flamesi se vračaju na velika vrata, a 15.05. ih imate priliku i gleati kod nas.

DARKTHRONE vijesti...

Evo, ovo je izgled novo Darkthrone-ovog albuma, nazvan ''The Cult Is Alive''. Album izlazi 27.veljače za Peaceville Records. Kao što je već jednom pisalo ovdje, Darkthrone je također uz to izdao i jedan single kamo sviraju muziku, kako kažu: ''Probably sounds something like Motorhead meeting Hellhammer on a crust/punk/necrothrash gig in '85'' - Fenriz.

A na stranici imat točan popis pjesama za taj singl i album... a i jedna izjava koju je rekao Nocturno Culto.

Bivši NILE-ov i HATE ETERNAL-ov bubnjar pobijedio u...

Bivši Nileov i Hate Eternalov bubnjar Tim Yeung osvojio je nagradu u natjecanju ''najbrža noga'' koju je organizirao NAMM kao International Fastest Drummer Contest u nedjelju, 22.siječnja u Anaheim Convention Centre u Anaheimu, Kalifornija. Yeung, koji je nedavno napravio novi ekstremni-metal projekt sa bivšim Fear Factory-evim i Brujeria-inim gitaristom Dino Cezaresom, u jednoj je minuti uspio napraviti 872 udarca.

U međuvremenu, Reese Bridges iz Londona, (inače Engleska je na glasu po najbržim bubnjarima što se ruku tiče), osvojio je u kategoriji ''najbrža ruka'' kamo je uspio lupiti 1007 puta u jednoj minuti.

Inače, ovo natjecanje se vrši pomoću drumometra, koji snima udarce tokom jedne minute, znači i kategorija ''najbrže ruke'' i ''najbrže noge'' ima single-udarce, bez fuza i ostalih pomagala.

SODOM najavio datum za izlazak novog albuma

Sodom će izdati svoj novi album, self-titled album, 21.travnja za SPV Records. Sljedbenik albuma iz 2001. ''M-16'', je već snimljen, a u toku je miksanje koje se radi u Njemačkoj. U travnju ć također bend krenuti na istočno-europsku turneju, koja će obuhvatiti Bugarsku, Rumunjsku i Mađarsku. Bend će se također pojaviti 20. travnja na ''Hall of Metal Festival'' u Jahrhunderthalle, u Bresalu, Poljska.
